cold as ice

Terje was a tipical scandinavian. we´ve spent 4 days together. shared the views of Aconcagua (6,992 m), hot chocolate with churros and much more, and at the end i couldnt even tell if he likes me at all. he was as shy as 16 year old, looking like a wiking warrior. he´s doing it the norwegian way, i kept saying to myself, but inside i felt uneasy.
In Puente del Inca we stayed in the stinkiest hostel ever, but the dude that worked there was golden! at 10 p.m. when his comrades from the argentinian border patrol retired to their barracks he led us on the secret path to the termal baths under the inca bridge. and there we were, walking in pitch dark on a slippery bridge, climbing over wired fences with signs saying "danger, forbidden to pass", led by a weird dude from the argentinian army - at the end arriving to a hot thermal bath somewhere under the bridge, jumping in quickly, while its freezing cold outside. the dude tell us how in his vacation time he leads international expeditions to the Aconcagua, and that now, thanks to that he has many friends from europe whom he´s going to visit. on weekends he goes for a drink in mendoza, 4 hours away, during the week he shares the stinky hostel with the tourists - its better than the army barracks where u have to ask permissions for bringing in girls and beer.
Terje and I are elated from the stories, the stary night and the meneral smell of the water.
he left mendoza 2 days before me, heading to cordoba. we cant meet when i come to cordoba, he said, cause he´ll be meeting his ex-girlfriend. allright, didnt want to either. when we kiss at the door of hostel Lao, mike comes out with his guitar to get a giggle from us.
3 days passed. i´m in cordoba. looking for a nicer hostel than the one i´m currently at. the first hostel i come in to, i spot terje having dinner with some chick. i was so embarrased that i didnt even say hello. i still decided to move in that hostel, it looked really cosy. i mean, 3 days have passed, an eternity, everything has changed, we´re different people now. we´ll c what happens.

i say make the move yourself!
well, now you'll have to wait for another opportunity for that..
but really, you've got nothing to lose (unless you truly intend to keep in touch with him),
and besides, it's not fair that men always have to make the first move..
on the other side, women get screwed (double-meaning) on so many other fields that "fair" isn't quite the right word for it..
anyway, my point is....
well..amm..
good luck?...
shana tova, all!
