I am sailing
since i'm still sticking to the good mood from the previous post, that's the right time to finally tell the stories from italy.
we saw dolphines. just like that, jumping in the middle of the medeterrenian, like there's no tomorrow!
for the first time in my life i swam in an open see. it was scary as hell. i jumped into the water and started screaming and laughing and breathing hard as if i'm having a heart attack. Helena thought she is going to have to rescue me because i'm having a panick attack. aval ze histader. it was pretty amazing, all that water. i also swam naked for the first time. who needs swimming suit? i remembered the story how when i first came to israel i only have swimming panties, and every body was staring at me, untill i realized that i also need a bra, even though i was only 10...
in israel i have kinda got used to the idea that if the sky is clear it will not rain, and not only that it will not rain in an hour, but it will probably not rain in the next few months. and if it's 30 degrees, it's not likely to go under 28 any time soon. i've been living in europe for more than 10 months now, and i still dont take umbrella with me if it's sunny when i leave the house. i still cant get used to the idea that the same week it may be 30 and sunny and then 17 and a pouring rain. at the beginning of the summer, when everything started getting green, i asked if it stays green the whole summer... of course it does! i'm not even going to start to tell u about the amazing concept of 4 seasons, and about the incredible feeling of mahzoryut hateva that i've never got to experience at home either because we dont have enough seasons, or because of too much air conditioning. and it will not be an exageraion to say that when it's sunny ppl walk around smiling, whereas everyone is dipressed when the rain starts. people really talk about the weather here, even when they're not trying to b polite.
so it was a similar feeling at the see for me - when it was calm and pleasant i couldnt even conceive what a beast it could be, and when it was bitching, i thought it will never end.
but the good old medeterrenian was admirably good to me. it made me sick only on the first and the last days, just to let me know who am i talking to, and even that wasn't for real, just for the sake of the game.
the best part of the whole thing was the bed time. and since it was so good sometimes i had a nap 2 times a day... ;) the naps were so good because the second u lay down and close your eyes u'r already asleep from the waggling (hanidnud) and this sleep is oh so pleasant! it is also so powerful that when u actually wake up u cant make your self get out of bed for another hour because this waggling deprives u of your concience, and if u're not strong enough u'll lay there daydreaming for ever. the night sleep was great because of the long long bed time talks i had with helena. she is amazing! i think that most of what i learned from this trip is what i learned from these talks.
to be continued...
