for a minute i thought my posts are too long and it's too many of them, but thanks to you nogush for being bored at work probably almost as much as i am, and thanks to you royke for writing me the sweetest comments, thanks to john for seeing me only once a week and giving my happiness some stability, and thanks to my new roomate who went grocery shopping and let me use his ugly laptop, i'm gonna write some more now :) ready or not here i come...

shnei nos'im al seder hayom: 1. spanish men 2. german women

1. i finally decided that that all the roads on the third part of my trip lead to spain. all excited from my sudden decisiveness i went to the library and borrowed 5 different guide books on spain and 7 more books on spanish. yes, i'm really serious this time! on my first trip to italy this year i hardly had a map, this time i'm really gonna know what i'm doing. though i guess it's just because back then i was still overwhelmed from the konstanz disco scene, whereas now i'm just bored... so i'll probably start with george in barcelona (pronounced 'barthelona') and then this way or another find my way to the mountains. sounds well planned.

2. i met some girl at work who came to konstanz for summer praxis and didnt have a place to stay for last night, so i invited her to stay over, and her, helena and i went for a drink last night. the girl (Nadine) comes from eastern germany the conversation was the following:
- so what, if u want to swim naked here u can only do it on a nudist beach?
- yeah... i tried once on the public beach but they stared at me a little. then it's true what they say about the east, you have a more free body culture?...
- no, i dont really think so. i dont want to swim naked out of protest and i dont like ppl staring at me, i just dont understand the concept of getting dressed when u're going into water.
- i guess u're right, but still it's a families beach. if u go a bit further, where all the students go, u'll c that much more people are naked there, it's about 50-50.

* the nudist beach is just next to the regular beach and there are of course no fences or signs.
* even on the regular beach its normal to change just there without wrapping a towel around u or anything.
* also, as a woman, if u dont feel like shaving u just dont have to.
* and if u're fat, ugly, black or muslim, or all of them together, it kinda goes too. in fact, israel is more racist than one would imagine.
* nationalism is bad. germany is probably the only nation of the modern world which lost it's pride and is not looking for it anymore... but that's a totally different story...
